- ➤ GFDA Ignite at the Newberry brought local businesses together as they revealed plans for the year; Spiral Health Inc. will build a 6,000 sqft wellness facility on Main Street in Geraldine for rural residents plus Mitchell Development updated on a 100-acre east side project that will include retail and the Woodspring Hotel scheduled for spring 2027. - ➤ California-based comedian Mark Lundholm will perform at the Heritage Inn on Friday, Jan. 23 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. to raise funds for Cub Haven Counseling to aid inpatient care for adolescents (ages 13 to 18). KRTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Jan. 21, the Bureau of Land Management canceled bison grazing permits for American Prairie after ruling that wild bison do not qualify as production livestock. American Prairie, planning a 3 million-acre reserve, may appeal the decision — Gianforte praised it as a win for local ranchers. Montana Public Radio
- ➤ Farm groups, including the Montana Farm Bureau Federation, sent a letter to Congress on Jan. 15 urging more federal aid — agriculture leaders say earlier measures were insufficient. Congress has until Jan. 30 to consider new funding plans. Montana Public Radio

- ➤ As many Great Falls residents start the new year by organizing their homes, Kari Smith (Great Falls Clinic Senior Director of Support Services) said that reducing clutter can decrease allergens, ease stress, and lower tripping hazards.
