EDUCATION NEWS

  • Great Falls Public Schools accepted donations on Jan. 12 that include new cafeteria tables for Meadowlark, playground equipment with accessible swings for West, freezers for Great Falls High and Longfellow, and paper for school pantries, with installation scheduled for this summer.  The Electric

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Experts warn that ice and freezing rain may cause power outages this weekend, so Great Falls residents are encouraged to stock up on portable power stations, emergency blankets, and shelf-stable food; local stores offer a range of supplies to support storm preparation.  Great Falls Tribune

  • Great Falls Park and Rec has opened its fourth mini-poll focused on the Aim High Big Sky recreation center, and it will run through January (with options for additional comments and email updates).  The Electric
  • City Commissioners approved a five-year park lease with the Boys and Girls Club for Community Hall Park at 410 16th St. S.W. for $1 annually — the lease includes optional 60-day termination and requires the club to handle daily maintenance, as discussed at the Jan. 20 meeting.  The Electric
