  • ➤ Former deputy Jay Groskreutz (54) died Thursday, Jan. 22 from traumatic asphyxia after a ranching accident; he retired with the Cascade County Sheriff's Office following more than 23 years of service.  KRTV

  • ➤ The Cascade City-County Health Department confirmed a botulism case in Cascade County on Jan. 23 after CDC lab results verified the infection and the patient was hospitalized.   • ➤ CMR’s girls’ basketball team beat Great Falls High 45 to 34 on Friday, Jan. 23 at Swarthout Fieldhouse — Myli Adams scored 12 points and Carrina Kaluza added 11 to improve the Rustlers to 6 to 4 overall. They will face Bozeman High on Tuesday.  Great Falls Tribune
