  • The 57th annual Russell Art Auction will begin Saturday night at the museum with nearly thirty C.M. Russell works and over 120 historic pieces, making it the largest auction of Russell works in decades—proceeds will help support local artists and museum operations.  KRTV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State lawmakers are debating bills to protect water rights on state lands, sell off inaccessible parcels, expand free school meals, add insurance for mental health screenings, regulate pet insurance and change wolf hunting rules. Concerns remain over potential impacts to farmers, schools and wildlife—more committee reviews are planned.  The Electric
  • Lawmakers in Helena debated nuclear power when Rep. Gary Parry passed a model pellet in a House committee meeting and introduced bills—HB 623 for waste management and HB 696 for uranium enrichment—that passed in the House and will be heard in the Senate on March 27. Critics, including the Montana Environmental Information Center, expressed concerns that nuclear projects may risk community safety and raise energy rates, arguing that renewable energy holds more promise.  The Electric
