- ➤ The Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation received a $6,000 grant from the American Land Title Association Good Deeds Foundation to support its free temporary housing program for rural Montanans seeking medical treatment—helping cover hotel costs and extra expenses. The nonprofit, which built its facility in September 2021 and has served over 2000 patients, continues to rely on donations and community support. KRTV

- ➤ Ulm students are receiving hands-on medical lessons from Touro medical school students — with help from Great Falls Emergence Services to build their practical skills in health care. KRTV
- ➤ Great Falls Public Schools amended a motion Monday night to forgo a mill levy election on May 6 in an effort to manage a $2.5 million deficit, though the board may still propose one on the ballot until August 1 if needed. Officials said they will rely on reserves, Covid-relief funds, and anticipated state support — including benefits from the STARS act — to keep the budget balanced. KRTV

- ➤ Great Falls Fire Rescue chief Jeremy Jones has been named Chair of the Montana State Fire Chiefs’ Association—replacing Rich Cowger after his 14-year service; he will lead monthly meetings and work to improve funding and fire service across the state. KRTV
- ➤ The City of Great Falls repaired a water main break near Chowen Springs Park at 801 17th Street South on Sunday, March 23. City crews diverted the water into the park's detention pond—restoring the pipe and service by 4:30 p.m.—to avoid further damage. KRTV
- ➤ A water main break near Chowen Springs Park occurred at 1 a.m. on March 23 and affected five blocks on 8th Ave South, but city crews isolated four valves and restored water by 4:30 p.m. that day — now workers are repairing a clogged sewer line at Gibson Park near the bathrooms and concessions hut and plan to finish by the end of next week. - ➤ The 120th Airlift Wing will deploy 144 airmen to the U.S. Africa Command area this spring and will convert to new C-130J aircraft this fall. Construction projects including hangar remodels and a $30 million fuel facility are underway in preparation for the aircraft’s arrival in March 2026 — officials said plans for other projects are pending funding — and details remain unfinalized.
