  • Jolene Schalper (GFDA exec vp) was named the 40th Athena Award winner by the Great Falls Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her leadership and service; she said the honor brings more responsibility to help others. GFDA will honor women entrepreneurs at Fire Within Awards on April 16 at 5:00 p.m. downtown.  KRTV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Great Falls Public Schools approved new middle and high school math materials from Savvas enVision at their March 23 meeting—spending about $476,688 on digital licenses and classroom sets. The board plans to introduce additional Algebra II resources next year.  The Electric
  • Great Falls school districts face a driver shortage that strains bus routes and forces route changes amid unpredictable weather and illness. Big Sky Bus Lines is looking to hire 13 to 15 new drivers and offers paid training, sign-on bonuses, and pay raises to improve student transportation.  KRTV

  • Great Falls International Airport uses a federal private screening program + avoids TSA delays, keeping its checkpoints fully staffed. Airport director John Faulkner urged travelers to arrive early and check in 45 minutes before their flights.  KRTV
