- ➤ Ink lovers and animal supporters in Great Falls will get flash tattoos at Tattoos for Tails on April 18 at Electric City Tattoo Emporium to support renovations at the local animal shelter. The event is first come, first served (doors open at 10 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m.) and artist Ashley Wojtala will complete quick, fun designs. KRTV

- ➤ A Great Falls man, Michael Shawn O’Neill, 59, who pleaded guilty in December 2024 to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, was sentenced on April 10—receiving 128 months in prison and five years of supervised release. The Electric

- ➤ The Sunday Sampler will return on April 13 with free admission to 12 Great Falls museums, now including the Sun River Valley Historical Society (in Fort Shaw) for its first appearance. Visitors can join a scavenger hunt that highlights Montana history. KRTV
- ➤ The Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art in Great Falls received the 2024 award—Professional Accomplishment in New Exhibit Presentation—for its exhibit ‘WITHIN’ that featured a two-week residency by Blackfeet artists Louis Still Smoking and John Isaiah Pepion. The exhibit ran from October 20, 2023 to March 17 and was the first of its kind in Montana. KRTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Montana Department of Transportation will begin concrete repairs on 6th Street NW and SW on April 21 as drivers face lane reductions, slower speeds and temporary detours. The repairs will continue until this fall—sidewalks are set to be upgraded for ADA compliance while access to homes and businesses remains available. KRTV
- ➤ The Montana Department of Transportation and its contractor Ti-Zack Concrete will begin work this month to repair aging concrete on 6th Street Northwest and 6th Street Southwest and update sidewalks to meet ADA standards—drivers should expect lane reductions, slower speeds, and detours while some homes may have temporary access changes. The project will be completed this fall but work times may change with weather and unforeseen factors. The Electric
- ➤ Cascade County opened its temporary dump site in Belt on April 8 at 2298 Tiger Butte Road—residents now use containers to dispose of household waste from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
