BUSINESS NEWS

  • Janicki Industries is reviewing plans to expand to Great Falls and other areas, a move that could add over 1,000 manufacturing jobs from an $800 million investment. The company is coordinating with local officials + assessing land and tax incentive support for a new multi-building campus.  KRTV

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Great Falls Theatre Co. will present Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, its milestone 10th production, at the University of Providence Theatre from April 23 to April 25 + a 2 p.m. matinee on the final day. The volunteer group spent six weeks preparing for the show.  KRTV
  • Conductor candidate Ian Passmore, who began his journey in North Carolina and now works in Tennessee, will lead today's Great Falls Symphony concert (its 67th season) at Mansfield Theater.   • Longtime Great Falls swimming coach Ed McNamee resigned after 22 seasons with GFPS — he will still coach baseball at Great Falls High as the district begins its search for a new swimming coach on April 27.  KRTV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The FAA is hiring air traffic controllers for about 30 positions at local airports, with no experience required and training provided at the FAA Academy (in Oklahoma). The application window opened on Thursday, Apr. 16 at 10 p.m. MT and remains open until 8,000 submissions are received nationwide.  KXLH
