- ➤ The city animal shelter closed April 19 for renovations and will reopen on April 21 at 1010 25th Ave. N.E. Staff worked from a temporary office—repairing conduit issues—and used state and local funds to upgrade the facility. The Electric
- ➤ Great Falls Park and Recreation Department hosted its annual waterfowl release on April 18th as hundreds watched geese and swans leave their winter home at Gibson Park for Gibson Pond. City workers cared for the birds all winter and each spring move them from their safe winter area near Honker Hilton to the pond—continuing a cherished local tradition. KRTV

- ➤ Regional gas prices in the Rocky Mountain region dropped to $3.10 per gallon on Monday from $3.16 last week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration—prices were about 2.2% lower than the national average and had risen 10 cents since last month. Great Falls Tribune
