- ➤ The 45th Ice Breaker Road Race will take place on Sunday, April 27 in downtown Great Falls at the Civic Center on 2 Park Drive South with races scheduled for 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Packet pickup is available on Saturday, April 26 and entry fees are $35 for adults and $25 for youth — sponsors include Benefis Health System, Scheels, Pepsi, and NorthWestern Energy — with prizes for top finishers. - ➤ Montana United Indian Association will host the Rock Your Mocs/Ribbons 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk on Friday, May 3 at 9 a.m. at the CMR High School track field in Great Falls—this event raises funds for back-to-school shoes, honors Missing/Murdered Indigenous Persons awareness and promotes healthy living. The event will feature guest speaker Billy The Kid Wagner and requires $12 registration for adults and $6 for children. KRTV

- ➤ Craig Duff, a retired law enforcement officer with a degree in sociology from the University of Texas, is running for the GFPS school board to help keep our schools strong and support teachers. He plans to work with educators to boost funding, improve teacher retention, and enhance student safety and mental health services — steps he says will help all students succeed. The Electric
- ➤ Tony Rosales, a 32-year-old GFPS graduate and medical strategy director, is running for a seat on the school board and plans to rebalance the budget, boost elementary performance, and expand community partnerships — steps he says will help rebuild trust in local education. The Electric
- ➤ Paige Turoski, a 33 year old behavioral support staff and parent of two GFPS elementary students, is running for reelection to the school board after serving three years as a trustee. Johnson, a music director emeritus at the Great Falls Symphony and current school board member, is running for a third term on the GFPS board to focus on planning a levy for May and keeping the budget tight—he aims to address fiscal shortfalls and support teacher retention amid expected changes to state funding.
