  • Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank at Meadow Lark Country Club in Great Falls—by leading projects that fixed a local monument and made 75 handmade blankets for Project Linus—and were praised by Rotary Club volunteers for their strong leadership—showing a commitment to service.  KRTV
  • Great Falls residents have a busy slate of events starting April 25, featuring a doll table and gun show at Expo Park, a teen night tournament at the Rec Center, a reptile expo at Great Falls High School, and a free documentary screening on April 30 at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, with more community gatherings scheduled throughout the month (check event times and details with organizers).  KRTV

  • On April 21, the Cascade County Attorney’s Office filed a motion asking the district court to allow involuntary medication for Jeremiah Gideon if he is transferred from the state hospital to county jail — he faces attempted deliberate homicide and assault charges from an October 9 incident amid delays in his mental health treatment.  The Electric

  • Gold prices hit over $3,500 per ounce this week and many locals are selling bullion at Great Falls pawn shops to get fast cash. Lui Salina of Capital Pawn said — rising worries about the economy and a weaker dollar have pushed prices up by 31% so far this year.  KRTV

  • Giant Springs State Park in Great Falls will host a free Earth Day event on April 26 from 12-3 p.m. at Heritage Park across from the main gate where children with parental supervision can enjoy nature crafts and active games—supplies are limited and the event may change due to weather.  The Electric

  • County Commissioners voted on April 22 to extend the state's funding contract for the Armington Bridge replacement project, which aims to address long-standing flood damage near Belt. Public works director Les Payne said permit delays and a new easement requirement from BNSF have pushed construction to summer 2027 and could add about $500,000 in county costs (raising concerns over escalating expenses).  The Electric
