- ➤ Pet Paw-See is hosting its fourth annual Cinco de Meow Meow today at the University of Providence from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event features a silent auction, a 50-50 raffle + a Mexican buffet to raise funds for caring for homeless cats. KRTV
- ➤ Give Great Falls week returns on April 26 and runs through May 2, letting residents support local nonprofits with one click. A free Nonprofit Showcase is held at The Newberry on April 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. & includes prize drawings and volunteer opportunities. KXLH

- ➤ Berkshire Hathaway Energy opened its new office in Great Falls on Thursday, Apr. 23 as an operations hub for rising energy demand and pledged a $1.4 million donation to Great Falls College to launch a grid operator training center slated to begin construction early 2026. KXLH
- ➤ Rocky Mountain Kartel is a new shop offering authentic streetwear and designer items that opened in February downtown (16 Seventh Street South). Owners plan to expand into Helena and Billings as the store quickly becomes a gathering spot for sneakerheads, collectors and fashion fans. KRTV

- ➤ Helping Hands Great Falls released its FY 2024 report showing $48,654 in revenue and $125,239 in expenses, with $30,740 (63% of revenue) paid to Director Carrie Parker’s salary. The non-profit focused on providing food, clothing and hospitality locally. E-City Beat

- ➤ Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls was chosen as a site for a nuclear microreactor under the Advanced Nuclear Power for Installations initiative — a plan to boost energy resilience. Environmental reviews will start soon as steps are taken toward operating a reactor by 2030. KXLH
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Great Falls hosts the annual Ice Breaker Road Race Sunday, April 26, 2026, with 1-, 3-, and 5-mile courses that award cash prizes, t-shirts, and medals. Registration opens January 1 and packet pickup is Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Convention Center + Civic Center. KXLH
