- ➤ On Friday, two GFPS students—fourth grader Cruz Ferderer and high school senior Ren Barrett—received the Zach Culliton Merit of Distinction award at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art for their art talent and strength in facing tough times. Their names will join 17 past honorees on a plaque that honors a long tradition of recognizing creative achievement in Great Falls. KRTV
- ➤ The Montana United Indian Association will host the 'Rock Your Mocs/Ribbons 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk' event on Friday, May 3, starting at 9 a.m. at CMR High School track field in Great Falls to raise awareness during May is Missing and Murdered Indigenous People Awareness Month. The event will feature guest speaker pro boxer Billy 'The Kid' Wagner and offer a sack lunch and t-shirt to participants (registration is $12 for adults and $6 for children, cash only) (money raised will support new back to school shoes for MUIA clients). - ➤ Cascade County 4‑H members attended a poultry workshop—partnering with Western Feed Corral—to learn duck, chicken, and turkey management in preparation for the Cascade County Livestock Show and Sale set for July 10‑13. First‑year member Kylee Finn said gaining hands-on experience with the animals is key to being a good showman. KRTV
