- ➤ Upslope Group is planning Meadowview Village—a 27.03 acre housing project with 163 single-family lots at Central Avenue and 46th Street South that will offer features such as indoor pickleball courts, a clubhouse, and a dog park to support community living. The project received unanimous support from local planning bodies and will be reviewed by the City Commission on May 6 with a final decision on June 3. KXLH

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Caregivers and community members gathered Tuesday outside the federal courthouse in Great Falls to show their worries that planned Medicaid cuts could hurt care—like the special medicine that Kerry Ann Fraser's son needs. They warned that although lawmakers say no one lawfully on the program will lose benefits—but services might still be reduced for many families. KRTV
- ➤ The legislature passed House Bill 477 which will require restaurants to stop serving food in Styrofoam containers in 2028 and packing prepared food in 2029—now the bill awaits the governor’s final decision. The measure was introduced by Representative Marilyn Marler and carried by Senator Daniel Zolnikov to reduce microplastics in food. Montana Public Radio
- ➤ The Great Falls Public Schools Board election is one week away with ballots due by 8 p.m. May 6. As of April 28, 4,153 of 36,780 mailed ballots—about 11.2 percent—were returned, and voters with undeliverable ballots will receive letters today to update their address. The Electric
