- ➤ Jet fuel prices have soared since the war in Iran began, nearly doubling wildfire fighting costs from $50 million last season to about $100 million and threatening tens of millions in extra taxpayer bills this summer while fuel shortages may complicate operations in Montana and other Western areas. - ➤ The Cascade County Weed and Mosquito Division will conduct an aerial mosquito larva control treatment on May 4 in Gibson Flats south of Great Falls using a small fixed-wing aircraft.
