- ➤ Great Falls College-MSU has installed sweetgrass planters – developed with Build Montana and community partners – to honor Native American traditions and promote cultural inclusion on campus. The college will use the sweetgrass as a teaching tool and for Indigenous enrichment while students gained hands-on experience building the planters. KXLH

- ➤ The federal government began enforcing Real ID requirements on May 7, and Great Falls International Airport has experienced a smooth transition with few delays. Officials noted that passengers without a compliant ID face extra screening — while most travelers have found the process efficient. KRTV
- ➤ Neighbors in Belview are concerned about plans by Healing the Circle Lodge to convert a home at 2601 Jasper Road into an inpatient rehab facility for 18 clients. Cascade County will hold a public hearing on May 15th at 9 a.m. in Room 105 of the Courthouse Annex (325 Second Avenue North) to gather community feedback on the permit application. KRTV
- ➤ City Commissioners voted on May 6 to raise sanitation rates by 8% for residents and 10% for businesses over two years, with increases taking effect June 1—staff said the changes are needed to cover rising fuel, equipment and landfill fees.
