- ➤ A disabled veteran lost his home in a fire at 89 Brandy Wine Lane in Black Eagle on May 14, and the Cascade County Sheriff's Office confirmed a fatality while neighbors rallied to support him as he stayed at the Alberta Motel (per local reports). KRTV

- ➤ Benefis Health System has submitted a permit application for Benefis Village, a memory care retirement home planned to convert a former convent at 3020 18th Ave. S.
