On Monday, veterans, active military and community members met at the Montana Veterans Memorial in Great Falls for the annual Memorial Day ceremony as Lt. Colonel Frances “Frankie” Mercado gave the keynote speech and World War II veteran Durl J.

Gibbs shared his war memories. The ceremony honored fallen heroes and reminded all in attendance of the sacrifices made—an enduring tribute to our nation's legacy.
