COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Pam Ebel of Missoula won the MTN Chevy Raffle during the State Summer Games in Billings and picked up her new, fully loaded 2025 Chevy Silverado at City Motors in Great Falls Tuesday—her winning ticket came from a pool of over 131,000 entries—this event raised more than $713,000 to support Special Olympics Montana athletes. This annual fundraiser has long drawn local support for training, equipment, and travel for the athletes.  KXLH

BUSINESS NEWS

  • A large crowd filled Smoked BBQ at 203 Second Avenue North on May 28 after a PETA vehicle parked outside the restaurant prompted loyal customers to support the business, and owner Trevor Cavanagh said over 2,000 pounds of meat were served during the event—showing strong local backing for the restaurant.  KXLH
  • Several new businesses are coming to Great Falls—ranging from eateries to retail shops—that will boost local choice. Texas Roadhouse will replace a training building at Holiday Village Mall—used by Great Falls Fire Rescue—while Windy City Liquids plans a grand opening on June 2 and Asian Mix has opened to add new flavors to the scene.  KRTV
  • Elevation 3300 in downtown Great Falls is closing today at 410 Central Avenue, ending its run as a bar and restaurant that opened in April 2019. The business, known for its open-air balcony, thanked loyal patrons on social media—adding that questions on gift card reimbursements should be directed to them.  KRTV

CRIME NEWS

  • Kelsey Jo Staigmiller was charged with deliberate homicide, criminal endangerment, and criminal mischief in connection with Sarah Bailey’s death on May 18, 2025 after a carjacking altercation in Great Falls — she already faced charges for robbery, theft, and burglary and her arraignment is set for June 2.  KXLH

CULTURE NEWS

  • Great Falls' Vinegar Jones Cabin — built in 1884 and moved to Gibson Park in 2002 — was cleaned yesterday by historian Ken Robison and his family to get it ready for summer band concerts. This historic cabin is the only original building from the town's first year.  KXLH

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Graduating seniors from Great Falls public high schools visited their old elementary schools Tuesday as part of the United Way’s Graduate To Elevate initiative to inspire current students. The seniors will hold their graduation ceremonies on Friday at Paris Gibson Education Center and Saturday at C.M. Russell and Great Falls high schools.  KRTV

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Great Falls Voyagers will start their season on Tuesday under new ownership as General Manager Colin McGuinn finishes ballpark updates and prepares for fan giveaways—fireworks and Wooden Nickels are part of the plan. Marketing manager Sarah Miller said most of the front office is new while owner Enbar, Inc. plans more upgrades over the coming years.  KRTV
