On Friday morning, the Salvation Army handed out fresh donuts to Great Falls first responders in a tradition dating back to World War I—police, fire, and medical personnel from several agencies received the treats as a token of thanks.

Volunteers reached local police, fire, and medical teams — recognizing their service in our community.

The Great Falls Police Department is reassigning a directed enforcement team and school resource officers downtown this summer to stop crimes such as panhandling, public intoxication, trespassing, theft, fighting and disturbing the peace—officials said they will patrol on foot and in vehicles to keep downtown safe.

On Friday, June 6, volunteers from Woodard & Curran helped the Sun River Watershed Group clean up parks in Great Falls—workers pulled weeds and collected trash at Oddfellows Park to support park maintenance.

City commissioners approved a plan on June 3 to annex 27.03 acres (east of Central and 46th) and zone 163 single family housing lots for Meadowview Village.

Upslope Development said the 10-phase project with planned public improvements will begin construction this fall if conditions hold.
