- ➤ On June 8th, Great Falls emergency crews rescued a woman from the Missouri River after she jumped off Warden Bridge and responded to a fatal incident near Broadwater Bay where a man drowned while trying to retrieve his remote-controlled boat; responders included Great Falls Fire Rescue, Cascade County Search and Rescue and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. - ➤ A man drowned in the Missouri River in Great Falls on Sunday, June 8 after he went into the water to retrieve a remote-controlled boat—emergency crews saw him struggle and he did not surface before he was declared dead. KXLH

- ➤ Police responded just before 4 a.m. today near Ninth Avenue South + 18th Street after reports of gunshots, finding two people with gunshot wounds+ one died while one was detained and another victim was treated and released. KXLH

- ➤ Low snowpack and heat have stressed aging trees in Great Falls, with city forester Todd Seymanski urging residents to water their historic trees—dating back to city founder Paris Gibson—this summer to help them recover. Flathead Lake will not reach its full pool this year due to low meltwater and drought, Energy Keeper’s Inc CEO Brian Lipscomb said, with SKQ dam generation dropping ten percent below normal.
