- ➤ City Commissioners approved a 27% increase in utility rates on June 3 that will take effect on July 1 to fund major water, sewer and storm drain improvements—staff will soon set up an application process for these projects. The Electric
- ➤ Filing for the city election closed at 5 p.m. yesterday, and there were not enough candidates to require a primary. The November ballot will include the mayor, two city commissioners, 45 Neighborhood Council representatives and one Municipal Court judge, with new officials set to take office in January 2026 (candidates must meet local residency requirements). - ➤ Great Falls Hospital today unveiled a new Ion bronchoscopy robot that uses CAT-scan data to map lung nodules—helping doctors find lung cancer sooner. The machine is the third in Montana—joining ones in Billings and Kalispell and set to reduce travel time for local patients. KXLH
