- ➤ Jane Weber was named the 2025 Paris Gibson Award winner for her long service to Great Falls, including her work with the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center Fund and her roles as Cascade County Commissioner and state legislator. The award (which includes a $500 check, commemorative tree, plaque, dinner for two and a ride in a 1918 Model T Ford) will be formally announced at the Great Falls Municipal Band concert on July 25 at 7 p.m. The Electric

- ➤ KRTV has begun a transmitter upgrade to improve over-the-air reception for Great Falls residents as crews install new equipment on its transmission tower (the station plans to switch from VHF to UHF in a few months). Viewers who use antennas will need to re-scan their TVs after the change (those using cable, satellite, or translator services remain unaffected). KRTV

- ➤ Tracy Cosgrove has been named executive director of the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art and will start on July 1—she brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience. - ➤ City Commissioners approved a $200,000 contract with Water and Environmental Technologies during the June 17 meeting to design improvements for the Smith Ponds stormwater system on a nine-acre leased site — bidding will occur in spring and construction is planned for summer/fall — and city staff may consider purchasing the property later.
