- ➤ The People’s Park and Recreation Foundation partnered with Town Pump to boost funds for the annual Great Falls fireworks display; Town Pump will match every donated dollar—up to $15,000—until July 4 as part of a new five-year agreement. - ➤ The 37th annual Lewis and Clark Festival began Friday evening and continues today at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center with a full day of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. Activities include a swivel gun demo, adventure games, authentic period displays, a 50/50 raffle to support the kids' education center, and a performance by Supaman at 2 p.m.—admission is free. KXLH
- ➤ Tracy Cosgrove was named the new Executive Director of the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art after an eight-month national search and will start on July 1. - ➤ Data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed that regular gas prices in the Rocky Mountain region rose slightly last week to $3.11 per gallon from $3.08 — a figure about 0.8% lower than the national average of $3.14. Great Falls Tribune

- ➤ Calumet Montana will conduct spill response training exercises on June 24 and 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Fort Benton and Great Falls; team members will deploy containment booms on the Missouri River near the Fort Benton Bridge and between the Black Eagle Dam and the 15th Street bridge + training partners include Whitewater Rescue Institute, Rapid Response Solutions and Olympus Technical Services. - ➤ Calumet Montana will conduct spill response training exercises June 24-25 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. that will see crews deploy containment booms on the Missouri River at Fort Benton and in Great Falls — the planned drills are part of the company’s emergency preparedness plan to improve response to potential spills. - ➤ The Montana Department of Transportation and United Materials, Inc. will begin the final pavement preservation work on several Great Falls streets today by cleaning road surfaces, sealing cracks, and applying fog and scrub seals. The crews will continue through next week and temporarily close 6th Street North and 3rd Avenue South to complete striping and ensure road safety. The Electric
- ➤ Great Falls City Commission approved a $126,888 contract to repair the 10th Street Bridge’s south entrance and a $145,593 project to improve River’s Edge Trail access near Electric City Water Park. The projects will begin this summer and be finished by fall—ensuring safer local travel—while preserving a key part of our history. KRTV
