- ➤ A suspect was taken into custody after firefighters extinguished a small fire suspected to be arson next to a garage on the 900 block of Third Avenue North early Friday, June 27th (no injuries were reported) as crews arrived at 1:37 a.m. KRTV

- ➤ The History Museum has named Connie Constan as its new executive director and she will take charge of both the museum and Cascade County Historical Society on June 30. A Great Falls native with a strong background in archaeology, she earned her degree from the University of Montana and advanced degrees from the University of New Mexico. The Electric
- ➤ Brother Van House Museum is offering summer tours so visitors can learn about Brother Van—who arrived by steamboat in 1872—and see the restored parsonage where he once stayed. Tours run Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. between July 8 and August 1 at 113 Sixth Street North. KRTV

- ➤ Former Congressman Pat Williams died late Wednesday and is remembered for his long service and defense of public lands and the arts; he stayed devoted to Montana even after retiring. His body will lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda in Helena on July 2 (8 a.m.–6 p.m.) and July 3 (8–11 a.m.), with his family hosting a celebration of life in Missoula on July 15 at 4 p.m. Montana Public Radio
