- ➤ New City Church held its annual Serve Day on Sunday and 14 volunteers helped Alliance for Youth prepare a new playground by planting flowers and building picnic benches and tables—an effort that also included support from the Transition Center to aid community reintegration. KXLH

- ➤ Police are investigating an overnight shooting in the Albertsons-Target parking lot on 10th Avenue South in Great Falls after being alerted at about 2:30 a.m. on July 13 when officers found a group of people that included one injured person who later died while a suspect was taken into custody. - ➤ City officials will discuss potential changes to the fireworks rules during a work session on July 15 following a fatal house fire on July 3 at 1109 2nd Ave. S.W.—the fire killed an elderly woman along with her dog and cat. Commissioner Rick Tryon said he may ask to direct staff to draft a resolution, and officials will decide whether to vote on the changes or put the question on a public ballot. The Electric
