- ➤ Great Falls will host the Montana State Fair from July 25 to Aug. 2 at ExpoPark with rides, food and live shows including the PRCA Big Sky Pro Rodeo starting at 7 p.m., the 12th annual Race Meet on select days, and a Fusion Fight League event on July 26—carnival wristbands and discounted admission tickets are on sale until July 25. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A large police presence is near the Warden Bridge on 10th Avenue South near Country Club Boulevard after officers responded to an incident that resulted in a collision at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday & shut down both westbound lanes while coordinating with Probation and Parole. KRTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ US ICE holds several detainees at Cascade County Detention Center—usually for 48 hours at $115 per person per day—until they are moved out of state. Sheriff Jesse Slaughter said the county is planning an ICE contract for about 10 detainees to help counter drug and human smuggling. KXLH
- ➤ The city’s engineering division is seeking public comment on the proposed stormwater master plan that will update drainage improvements from the plan adopted in 1989.
