- ➤ The annual Lion’s Family FunFest will take place on Saturday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Lions Park at 10th Avenue South & 27th Street, hosted by Great Falls Lions Clubs & Great Falls Park & Recreation and supported by donors, with free admission, music by DJ Jim Sargent, children’s games, prizes & a special appearance by mascot Louie the Lion. - ➤ Sid's Pedal Trolley tours have been running in downtown Great Falls since April, offering one historical tour in the afternoon and two pub tours in the evening that stop at three local bars. The motor-assisted 14-seat trolley rides a 2.5-mile route—helping boost local tourism. KRTV
- ➤ Tommy Lynch left KRTV after two years for a reporter position in Kansas and Owen Skornik-Hayes departed after three years for a role in Colorado—KRTV welcomed new reporters Justin Robicheaux and Quentin Shores to help continue its coverage. KRTV

- ➤ At a July 21 meeting, county commissioners reviewed how they spent $15,804,392 in COVID relief funds—allocating it to county projects, local agencies, nonprofits, and water and sewer districts—and they discussed shifting any remaining funds among projects. They gave updates on water systems, IT upgrades, jail remodels, and other infrastructure work and will review new proposals at the next work session. The Electric

- ➤ Benefis Health Center introduced a new PET-CT scanner that helps doctors detect cancer faster by combining CT with nuclear imaging. Imaging Director Paul Fulbright said the scanner cuts scan time to under 10 minutes — allowing more patients to be served each week. KXLH
LIFESTYLE NEWS
- ➤ A new pedal trolley launched earlier this year in downtown Great Falls by Sip ‘N Dip now offers historical tours in the afternoon and pub tours in the evening that cover a 2.5-mile route with stops at three bars — riders must help pedal with a motor assist to keep a safe speed of five miles per hour. The tours, which start at about two and a half hours and cost $27-$30 per person, began accepting bookings in February and ran through the fall. KXLH
