- ➤ Sober Life, run by the nonprofit Alliance For Youth, will host a block party in downtown Great Falls on Saturday, August 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The free event will have live music by Clint Reiman, free food, local vendors, and a kids' zone + the group welcomes volunteers to help. KRTV
- ➤ United Way held this year’s Stuff the Bus fundraiser on Aug 7 with three buses at a Target parking lot and Walmart lots from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., collecting school supplies and personal care items for local families. - ➤ Great Falls approved a conditional use permit for Flower Montana to operate a secure cannabis cultivation facility at 748 Crescent Circle after a 3 to 2 city commission vote Tuesday night; the facility covers 10,000 square feet and will eventually include cultivation, manufacturing and retail while investing $750,000 in an advanced HVAC and CO₂ filtration system and creating 10 to 15 full-time jobs—although some residents raised community safety concerns.
