- ➤ Great Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched at 5:52 a.m. on Aug. 10 to a house fire at 406 6th Ave. S. and arrived at 5:56 a.m. where they found heavy smoke with the fire burning in hidden void spaces—firefighters spent 70 minutes putting it out while the electrical cause led to extensive damage that left the uninsured occupant safe and receiving help from the American Red Cross. - ➤ Great Falls Fire Rescue responded to an early-morning house fire at 406 Sixth Avenue South on Sunday, August 10th; firefighters found heavy smoke from an electrical fault — crews worked 70 minutes to access hidden spaces — and kept the occupant safe while the home suffered major damage and American Red Cross began relief efforts. - ➤ On Saturday, August 9, 2025, a 19-year-old man from Great Falls died in a rollover crash near US Highway 89—Hughesville Road in Cascade County when a Jeep driven by a 36-year-old local woman failed to negotiate a curve—rolling several times into a creek bed as impaired driving and speed were cited as factors.
