- ➤ Voyagers Stadium in Great Falls is set to host a 311 concert today as part of its fourth summer series. The venue is transforming its baseball field with portable flooring—designed to keep the field ready for future games—and the event is organized by The Newberry with several ticket options available. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Great Falls Public Schools has named Melanie Houge—an experienced local HR director from the University of Providence—as its new HR director to manage about 1,300 employees and lead recruitment efforts. The district will host a job fair Tuesday, August 19 at the Paris Gibson Education Center from 11am to 1pm to fill various roles. KXLH
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ On August 12, 2025, Cascade County commissioners approved donating 10 acres at Second Avenue NW and 22nd Street NW to NeighborWorks Great Falls to build 25 affordable single-family homes as part of a USDA-funded program—families must work 30 hours per week to qualify. Some neighbors are concerned about the loss of recreation space and potential tax impacts while officials say the project targets households earning less than 80% of the local average. KXLH
