- ➤ The annual Luminaria Walk will be held on Friday, August 22 at 7 p.m. and run from the Caboose to Giant Springs Road with free family-friendly food & music while vendors will wrap up between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. KRTV
- ➤ Tip-A-Cop hosted its annual fundraising event Tuesday at MacKenzie River Pizza Company in Great Falls, marking the first time all MacKenzie River locations held the event on the same day—law enforcement officers served as Celebrity Servers while extra tips funded Special Olympics Montana competitions and training. A total of 60% of the funds will remain in the community. KRTV

- ➤ A 21-year-old motorcycle driver died in a crash on Sunday before 3:30 a.m. at Central Avenue and Ninth Street in Great Falls as investigators suspect speed was a key factor and have not released his name yet. KXLH

- ➤ Taige Ann-Marie Racine was arrested on August 16th on the east side of Great Falls after a shooting left a man with a gunshot wound, and she faces charges of felony assault with a weapon, felony tampering with evidence, and misdemeanor partner/family member assault—deputies responded after witnesses reported the incident at 6016 Second Avenue North. - ➤ Great Falls Public Schools has launched ParentSquare as a new communication tool to replace Remind—improving message speed and security for parents and teachers across the district. Officials note that the tool offers features like file sharing and class-specific communications to keep the school community informed. KRTV

- ➤ City Commissioners approved annexation and zoning for Peace Harbor, a new subdivision with 67 single-family lots south of the main Peak location at an Aug. 19 meeting.
