- ➤ The Budweiser Clydesdales are touring Great Falls and Fairfield this week to showcase nearly a century of tradition — they appear in Fairfield today at Busch AG from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. and will visit Great Falls on Friday and Malmstrom AFB on Saturday. KRTV
- ➤ Local leaders say young adults in Great Falls have many ways to socialize beyond bars—indoor sports at the Hi-Line Climbing Center and learn-to-skate sessions at Iceplex—and community events add concerts, markets, and outdoor adventures to the mix. KRTV

- ➤ A Honduran man, Nahun Esau Suazo-Varela, 48, pleaded guilty in June to illegal reentry and was sentenced on Aug. 27 to three months in prison—he has been held in Cascade County Adult Detention Center since May 22, according to U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme. The Electric
- ➤ A Great Falls man, 45-year-old Ian Allister Tomlinson, was found guilty on Aug. 27 by a federal jury for illegally possessing firearms and ammunition—he faces 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release with sentencing set for Dec. 17. The Electric

- ➤ Land planned for Madison Food Park on US Highway 89 east of Great Falls is back on the market after money problems stopped the project—Brett Doney, president of the Great Falls Development Alliance, said the property already received an offer and GFDA will help the new owner start a business. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Air Force is assessing public interest in forming a Restoration Advisory Board at Malmstrom Air Force Base to provide a forum for community members to receive updates on environmental cleanup projects and ask questions to base officials — the board will not have decision-making power. KRTV
- ➤ The city utilities division closed Fox Farm Road between Durango Drive and Grizzly Drive after a water main break on a six-inch asbestos-concrete pipe installed in 1969. Customers near the area will face temporary water outages and drivers will use barricades —detour signs are in place— as a city crew repairs the pipe this afternoon. The Electric

- ➤ Great Falls advocates for high school baseball reached a key fundraising milestone and now aim to raise $95,050 by January 31 for a three-year season with local businesses backing the effort though officials still need about $25,000 to $30,000 more. School leaders said each school must spend roughly $48,000 on expenses like transportation fees plus coaching costs. KRTV
