ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Emergency crews responded early Wednesday, September 3 to a grass fire that spread to a garage and vehicle on the 1200 block of Eighth Avenue North — firefighters contained the blaze with damage limited to exteriors and no injuries reported. KRTV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Dozens of dogs and cats rescued from a recent animal cruelty case in Cascade County are recovering at the Maclean-Cameron Adoption Center— the Cascade County Sheriff's Office is using its Sheriff's Legacy Foundation to raise funds for their medical care and necessary equipment not covered by the annual budget. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A sweat lodge behind the Little Shell Cultural Center was removed on Tuesday for alleged fire code concerns - however, Great Falls Fire Rescue said no order was issued, which sparked confusion among locals and the tribe. Tribal leaders met with fire officials and plan to work together on building a safe new structure that will serve cultural practices. KRTV
- ➤ The removal of a sweat lodge behind Little Shell Cultural Center in Great Falls sparked confusion after the Little Shell Tribe claimed it was torn down under a Fire Marshal order while Fire Rescue officials said no such order was issued. Tribal leaders and Fire Rescue plan to work together with architects to rebuild a safe structure that meets fire codes. KXLH

- ➤ Montana pediatricians maintained that children should follow long-standing vaccine recommendations—like flu, HPV and RSV shots—even though the CDC changed its advice on COVID and other immunizations.
