- ➤ On September 3, KRTV hosted a telethon from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. to raise funds for its annual 'If you give a child a book' campaign, and 97 donations totaling $8,317 were matched by the Scripps Howard Foundation to bring the total to $16,634. KRTV

- ➤ The Roadhouse Diner in Great Falls has changed hands to longtime employee Danica Gliko and her husband Dillon—both of whom trained under former owners Tara and Jason Beam—who promise to keep the same recipes and local ingredients. The new owners plan to build on the diner’s strong reputation for its innovative burgers while maintaining its familiar atmosphere for loyal fans. KRTV

- ➤ A Mexican man, Enrique Hernandez-Rodriguez, 51, was sentenced Sept. 3 in federal court to time served and will be remanded to Border Patrol after pleading guilty in August and being held for 40 days at Cascade County Adult Detention Center—his case is part of Operation Take Back America. - ➤ Alissa Page Lockman was charged after allegedly crashing a stolen Buick Enclave near Sixth Avenue North and 37th Street just after 4 p.m. on September 3 when the car hit a parked vehicle and rolled over, and court documents say she stole the vehicle days earlier and now faces charges for theft, burglary, drug possession, obstructing a peace officer and careless driving. - ➤ In the latest episode of At The Table, host Doug Mercado visited Ocean Star Seafood (1420 Market Place Drive) in Great Falls to explore the restaurant's offerings. KRTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Great Falls and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway permanently closed public access at the Fourth Street NE rail crossing at West Bank Park for safety due to possible rail expansion into the Calumet Refining area. City officials said access remains available from Third Street NW + between Cowboys Bar and Tasty Hot Pot. KRTV
- ➤ Jeremy Jones, who has served as Great Falls Fire Rescue chief since 2020, is named the new deputy city manager and will start his transition within the next 30 days—he will manage city operations including the city clerk’s office, Great Falls Animal Shelter, and Civic Center events. City Manager Greg Doyon said the city is also recruiting a new fire chief and re-advertising for a Park and Rec director to address operational needs. The Electric
- ➤ Great Falls Fire Rescue responded to two structure fires in September, taking the yearly total to 25—one incident at 2 Prospect Drive injured a homeowner trying to quell a garage blaze and another small grass fire on 8th Ave. N. quickly spread to a detached garage.
