- ➤ On August 28, Cascade County deputies uncovered a large animal cruelty case that led to 37 dogs and eight cats being rescued and brought to Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center—staff quickly vaccinated, groomed and began basic training for the animals. - ➤ Local leaders and residents recently celebrated the opening of the first permanent supportive housing as the 1913 Baatz Block building at 400 Second Avenue South was transformed into 25 modern apartments with on-site case management—services designed to help residents rebuild their lives.
