- ➤ A historic building in downtown Great Falls has been transformed into 25 supportive housing units for those transitioning from homelessness by NeighborWorks Great Falls and Homeword, with services and a case manager provided on-site—ensuring residents receive wrap-around support. Renovation of the façade at 400 Second Avenue South will begin this month, with work finishing at the end of 2024 and apartments opening early next year. KXLH
- ➤ Big Brothers-Big Sisters will host its Bowl For Kids' Sake fundraiser to raise $55,000 with an event on November 1 in Helena + another on November 2 in Great Falls. Community members and businesses will bowl with the kids to support the mentoring programs. KXLH

- ➤ National Voter Registration Day was observed on September 15 as Cascade County officials noted a shift with more young voters joining established older participants, Terry Thompson said. Registration will remain open until October 6 and voters can register online, by mail, or in-person with a drivers license, state ID, or the last four digits of their Social Security number. KRTV

- ➤ Federal health officials narrowed COVID vaccine guidelines earlier this year, yet insurance providers are still covering the costs under current recommendations. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will meet later this week and might update the guidelines—Montanans are advised to check with their insurers. Montana Public Radio
