- ➤ Runners gathered yesterday along the River’s Edge Trail for the inaugural Hot Pursuit 5K that featured a 5K race and a one-mile fun run, with local first responders participating and nearly $10,000 raised for Special Olympics Montana. Detective Abby Rodseth won the women’s race and Dylan Weinand finished the men’s race in 17 minutes, 55 seconds. KRTV
- ➤ Family, friends, customers and employees gathered Saturday to honor Gary Hochberger—owner of The Popcorn Colonel—who died in August at 74. His family said that keeping the shop open and celebrating its 25th anniversary in November will honor his lasting legacy in the community. KXLH
