- ➤ Great Falls Animal Shelter operations manager Laramie Smovir was honored with the University of Montana Community Hero Award during a UM football game for her animal care leadership as nominated by coworkers and loved ones. The shelter will host a low-cost microchip clinic on October 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fire Station 1 (105 9th Street South) where pet owners can get pay-what-you-can services. KRTV
