- ➤ Great Falls Animal Shelter at 1010 25th Avenue NE features Pets Of The Week—Lewis, a 2½-year-old, 66-pound mixed breed dog who is playful but cautious in noisy spots, and Frito, a small cat with a seal-point coat who is partially blind in one eye. - ➤ Today, Great Falls enforces a new ordinance that restricts fireworks after a local vote passed with a 55% majority to limit certain types—only sparklers, fountains, and minor novelty items are allowed, and violators may face fines up to $1,000, court appearances, and confiscation of their fireworks.
