- ➤ Toby's House Crisis Nursery received a $500,000 donation from Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz, which will fund a new 5,000—square-foot facility at the corner of Second Street and Seventh Avenue South in Great Falls. The new building will open in summer and allow the nursery to expand its weekend and overnight care to serve more families in crisis. KRTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at St. Patrick’s Academy East in Great Falls held their first annual Veterans Day program Tuesday afternoon—featuring live music, choir songs, and handmade cards—and honored veterans and military families with simple acts of remembrance. KRTV
- ➤ Valley View Elementary School held a Veterans Day assembly Tuesday morning where the school's fifth- and sixth-grade leadership team led speeches, songs, and a POW/MIA table ceremony by JROTC cadets to honor military veterans. - ➤ The Great Falls Public Schools board approved $5,000 to install a Raiders Course at Paris Gibson Education Center for JROTC. The physically demanding obstacle course built by JROTC teacher Kevin Byrd & supported by the 819th RED HORSE Squadron will feature removable equipment to keep the public off the course when students use it.
