- ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are investigating the poaching of three elk on the Sun River Wildlife Management Area near Augusta after a hunter reported a dead elk on Nov. 11—wardens later found a cow elk and two elk calves that were shot a few days earlier and are asking anyone with useful information to come forward. - ➤ Gov. Gianforte and Mike Rowe visited the new High School House at 1314 6th Ave. S.—they toured the facility with construction students and signed a commemorative wall as part of High School House Day. Wells Fargo contributed $200,000 to fund future houses and launch the Rock the Trades initiative, which will feature a benefit concert on Dec. 11 at Montana Expo Park. The Electric
- ➤ At Great Falls High School, Governor Gianforte and TV host Mike Rowe (known for Dirty Jobs) joined students, teachers, and community partners to discuss a new trades program that teaches hands-on skills. Wells Fargo donated $200,000 to NeighborWorks to support the program and help students build a house from the foundation up. KRTV
- ➤ The University of Providence is facing a severe budget crisis after losing a longstanding subsidy from the health system, which left it with an annual deficit of about $8 million & its leaders are now planning cuts and program reviews. The Board of Trustees will vote on declaring financial exigency in December, and more details on restructuring will be shared soon. KRTV
