- ➤ Governor Gianforte and TV host Mike Rowe visited Great Falls High School to discuss trade careers with students—exploring the house-building project that builds valuable skills—while Wells Fargo donated $200,000 to support the program. KXLH
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Two Great Falls Neighborhood Councils will hold their November meetings to discuss local development and neighborhood concerns. Council #5 will meet on November 17 at 7 p.m. at the Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center Conference Room to cover a Calumet update and local business, and Council #4 will meet on November 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church to review Beebee Tracts development and annexation proposals (including multi-family R-5 zoning). - ➤ Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter (the county's chief law enforcement officer) has proposed a paid reserve program to add more school resource officers at Great Falls Public Schools to ease heavy workloads and improve safety amid nearby violent incidents. If accepted, officers from the sheriff's office (working under Great Falls PD supervision led by Sergeant Katie Cunningham) will begin specialized training soon. KRTV
