COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Salvation Army is seeking volunteer bell ringers to staff high-traffic locations (Sam's Club, both doors at each Walmart, Super One, Scheels, Smith's, North 40, and Albertsons) daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through December 24th to raise funds for shelter, food, and other essentials for those in need.  KRTV

ECONOMY NEWS

  • TAC Data Centers pulled out of its lease option for 569 acres in Great Falls today—Upper Missouri Waterkeeper cited regional water shortages as a key concern. Meanwhile, data center projects in Hardin and Butte will move forward with upcoming regulatory reviews and discussions on energy supply and water use.  Great Falls Tribune

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Great Falls Public Schools are reviewing a pilot program that would have a paid reserve deputy from the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office serve as a school resource officer (the board will consider the plan on November 24th), while Sen. Tim Sheehy introduced the SROs Act to provide a federal tax break on retirement pay for eligible retired officers and veterans serving in schools.  The Electric

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Calumet donated $100K to boost public safety—$50K went to the Cascade County Sheriff's Legacy Foundation and $50K to the Great Falls Police Community Foundation—with the funds set to help launch a new school resource officer program that the Great Falls School Board will vote on November 24th at 5:30 p.m.  KRTV

HEALTH NEWS

  • Park Place Transitional Care and Rehab cut the ribbon on Montana's first long-term ventilator and tracheostomy unit this week so patients no longer need to travel out of state for specialized care. Timothy Rock said the unit is key for people injured during Montana’s active outdoor life — keeping families close.  KRTV

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A 152-unit housing development was proposed on the east side of Great Falls and was discussed at the Nov. 20 Neighborhood Council 4 meeting. The applicant, Cal Kunkel, plans to convert 19.2 acres into multi-family housing with integrated garages and upgraded public utilities — the city planning board will review its impact on traffic and infrastructure.  The Electric
