Designed by local artist Sheree Nelson, the ornament is sold for $20 at the city planning office and other local sites, with proceeds supporting the preservation of historic places in Great Falls and Cascade County. - ➤ On November 24, the Great Falls Public Schools Board approved the concept for a reserve School Resource Officer pilot program—aiming to add a reserve deputy from the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office to support the GFPD-led team while drafting a detailed interlocal agreement. Sheriff Jesse Slaughter proposed the idea to fill gaps in school coverage, and the board plans to complete training, vetting, and evaluation details before potentially launching the pilot next school year.
