- ➤ The Uptown Optimist Club began its annual Christmas tree fundraiser on Friday at Montana ExpoPark's beef barn with about 800 trees grown in Montana and Idaho and unloaded by volunteers. Club president Josh Cinqmars said all funds will support local youth programs—including Alliance for Youth and Boys and Girls Club—and the lot will stay open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the trees sell out. - ➤ Knights of Columbus Council 9395 gave free winter coats and hats to children in need as Great Falls saw its first heavy snowfall of the season. The group will host another coat giveaway today from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fresh Rescue Kitchen on Second Avenue South. KRTV
