- ➤ The Salvation Army in Great Falls is gearing up for KRTV’s Day of Giving on Dec. 9 at two Albertsons stores as it supports local families with food, toys, and household essentials. Volunteers and donations help run its client-choice food pantry and youth programs. KRTV
- ➤ As winter threatens Great Falls, Angel Room (500 Central Avenue West) is asking locals to donate sleeping bags, blankets and propane tanks to help keep vulnerable residents warm and safe. KRTV
- ➤ Great Falls Public Library Foundation partnered with Great Falls High School students to debut a 30-second PSA at GFHS auditorium promoting its 36th Annual Children's Book-A-Thon fundraiser. The spot will air on TV this week. KRTV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Expressions Of Silence from the Montana School for the Deaf and the Blind will host a Christmas program on Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Mustang Center on Central Avenue. The performance features sign language music for $5 with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. and starting at 1 p.m. KRTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At Wednesday’s Board of Health meeting, Cascade City-County Health Department officials reviewed budget challenges as expenses rose 54% from $1.4 million to $2.15 million and revenues fell. County leaders plan to shift some grant-funded services to outside providers (monthly updates will continue) to focus on core communicable-disease control. KRTV

- ➤ The Great Falls City Commission approved IX Blessings Mobile Home Park, bringing 152 manufactured home lots to a 25-acre site near Seventh Avenue North and 42nd Street North south of Morningside Elementary School to address local housing needs.
