If you have a student at Simms High School, here's what we know. Cascade County deputies responded Monday morning after the school received a voicemail about a possible bomb threat, and police were investigating. The sheriff's office said all students are safe and there is no known threat to them.

Simms officials said in a letter shared by the sheriff's office that the district office got the threat by telephone at about 7 a.m., and Montana Talks reported the same letter. Staff followed safety protocols, and students waited on heated buses near the student parking lot.

  • Fort Shaw Elementary: no threat, the district said
  • Parents: welcome to pick up their kids for the day
  • District plans to resume school operations once the building is cleared

KRTV's updated report is headlined that Simms reopened after the bomb detection team found no threat.
