- ➤ Three dancers from Sole Dance Academy in Great Falls have been chosen to join Team USA for the World Dance Championship in Brussels this fall—Blakelee Bell, Collyns Yurek, and Madelyn Hart will compete against more than 30 other nations. - ➤ The Bureau of Land Management reminds visitors that fireworks and pyrotechnics are not allowed on public lands, which include national monuments, recreation areas, campgrounds, and undeveloped lands (across Montana and the Dakotas) to help prevent wildfires and property damage. - ➤ On June 25, a city garbage truck and a civilian vehicle crashed near the intersection of the Northwest Bypass and 6th Street Northwest, hitting the north side of Fire Rescue Station 2 and sending one person to the hospital as investigators examine the incident. City officials approved a $2.5 million loan to fund a new fire training center — demolition of an existing tower is scheduled for July while temporary repairs keep the station operational until a full rebuild begins next year.
